Dahl Arts Center - Rapid City Arts Council, Rapid City, SD Category: Arts, Antiques, Crafts

In our latest exhibit, artist Suzanne Wyss creates large-scale organic forms from industrial materials in Denatured. The exhibit opens on December 15, 2017 and will be on display until April 14, 2018. Join us on Friday, December 15 from 5-7pm for an exhibit reception with a brief program and artist talk at 6:00pm. The show will be located in the Sen. Stan Adelstein & Lynda K. Clark Gallery at the Dahl Arts Center in downtown Rapid City.

Denatured is made up of three large installations, several large-scale sculptures and various smaller “growths”. Suzanne Wyss’s materials are always chosen for their malleability and tactility. Wyss grew up in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. In 2013, she received her MFA in Sculpture from Indiana University, Bloomington and in 2009, she received her BFA from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. Her sculpture, installation and performance work has been shown throughout the Midwest and as far away as Osaka, Japan. She currently lives, works and creates in sunny Austin, TX.

Exhibit generously sponsored by Brownstone Properties, Lynda Clark Adelstein, Denny Gemeny, RaVae Luckhart & Jack Rice, South Dakota Arts Council and Rapid City Arts Council.

The Dahl Arts Center galleries are open Monday-Friday, 10am – 6pm and Saturday, 10am – 5pm.  For more information about upcoming exhibits, visit
